Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 18 February, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, arrived in the United States on a working visit.
At Joint Base Andrews International Airport, the Uzbek President was welcomed by American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Chairwoman Carolyn Lamm, Chief of the Joint Headquarters of the Mississippi National Guard James Hankins, along with other officials.
A meeting with the U.S. President’s Special Envoy Paolo Zampolli was held at the residence in Washington.
During his stay in the United States, the President of Uzbekistan will take part in the first Board of Peace Summit, as well as a series of business-focused events.
