“Samarkand” restaurant opens in Prague

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first Uzbek restaurant has been launched in Prague, the Czech Republic. Uzbek cooks prepare cuisine at the restaurant, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tashkent said.

The restaurant, named “Samarkand” offers traditional Uzbek cuisine such as plov, kazan kabob, lagman or soup-shurpa.

The embassy said that there are many restaurants with various cuisines in Prague, but there was no Uzbek restaurant in the Czech capital. Currently, Uzbek cuisine can be tasted in Karlovy Vary.

New restaurant has large hall and several VIP salons with Uzbek trestle-beds.
