Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 17 August, Uzbekistan adopted a resolution of the President of the Republic “On measures to develop entrepreneurship in the Khorezm region and increase its investment attractiveness”, the Dunyo news agency reported.
In accordance with the resolution, 84 investment projects with a total value of 2.2 trillion soums, as well as 26 promising investment projects with a total value of US$516.8 million, will be implemented in Khorezm region in 2020-2022.
It was noted that by 1 April 2021, along with 26 promising large investment projects, additional new industrial production projects will be launched in each district of the region.
The territories of the free economic zone (FEZ) "Khazarasp" have been determined, expanding due to unused land plots in agriculture.
According to the resolution, the corresponding diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad are assigned to the FEZ.
