Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Following the results of trading at the Republican Stock Exchange "Toshkent" for 10 months of 2020, 30,489 transactions with securities of 96 companies were recorded for 421.1 billion soums.
For comparison, in the same period of 2019, 25,305 transactions were carried out, for the amount of 376.3 billion soums, which is equal to an increase in the number of transactions by 20.5%, and in terms of volume in monetary terms by 12%.
During 10 months of 2020, securities of 41 joint-stock companies were included in the quotation list of the stock exchange, for the same period of 2019, only 23 issuers were included. At the end of October 2020, there are securities of 133 joint-stock companies on the stock exchange trading floor, which is 25% more than a year earlier.
The total market capitalization of the stock exchange as of 1 November 2020 is 52.55 trillion soums, or more than US$5 billion.
