Uzbekistan Insurance Premiums Jump 52.7% in Q1 2026

Uzbekistan's insurance premiums rose 52.7% year-on-year to 4.017 trillion soums in January–March 2026, according to the National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP) quarterly report.

Apex Insurance led the market with 1.031 trillion soums in premiums. Insurance payments totalled 838.2 billion soums (+30.2%), total liabilities reached 4.41 trillion soums (+58.8%), and the sector's investment portfolio grew 42.6% to 10.34 trillion soums.

Tashkent accounted for 82.4% of all national premiums. Voluntary insurance represented 83% of the premium mix, and active contracts reached 12.34 million.
