Gulomjon Ibragimov and Rustam Minnikhanov discussed expansion of bilateral relations
The sides noted that the volume of foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan does not yet correspond to the available potential.
The head of Tatarstan noted that the parties should intensify contacts, as well as establish economic and humanitarian ties.
Gulomjon Ibragimov noted that Uzbekistan pays great attention to development of bilateral relations with Russia. He stressed that the volume of mutual trade between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan is still small. He expressed the hope that the visit of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to Uzbekistan will give a serious impetus to development of regional relations.
“We hope that thanks to the political will of our presidents we will be able to establish mutually beneficial joint work,” Gulomjon Ibragimov said.
