GIZ Program Director Ole Doetinchem receives state award of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ole Doetinchem, the Program Director of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) in Uzbekistan, has been awarded the "Fidoyi Sotsial Himoya" (Devoted to Social Protection) badge of honor.

The honorary departmental award was approved and presented by the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This distinction was awarded to the foreign specialist for his long-term significant contribution to the reform and modernization of the national social assistance system, the strengthening of relevant international cooperation, and practical activities aimed at improving the quality of life for socially vulnerable segments of the country's population.

Within the framework of long-term cooperation between the state agency and the German government organization GIZ, a number of major international initiatives have been successfully implemented in the republic under the strategic leadership of Ole Doetinchem. These include the joint program Global Alliances – Uzbekistan, the specialized PROSPI project, and the targeted DCI initiative.

Experts emphasize that the head of the representative office took a direct and active part in all stages of planning and coordinating these programs, proving himself not only as an official representative of an international organization but also as a reliable partner fully supporting institutional reforms in the social sphere of Uzbekistan.

The leadership of the National Agency for Social Protection expressed deep gratitude to Ole Doetinchem for many years of effective cooperation, continuous expert support, and the high level of mutual trust established between the agencies. In an official statement, the agency also wished the GIZ program director further professional success, expressing confidence in the continuation of a sustainable partnership for the implementation of future humanitarian and social projects in the region.
