Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) has seen changes in its leadership, the exchange’s press service reported.
Georgiy Pareshishvili has stepped down from his role as chairman of the board, which he held since September 2022, following the expiration of his employment contract.
Fayzulla Tashov has been appointed as acting chairman of the board. He previously led the Depository Services and Settlement Operations Department at the Central Securities Depository. Tashov began his career in 2001 at Uzpromstroybank and has been working within the depository system since 2005.
In his farewell speech, Mr. Pareshishvili thanked shareholders, colleagues, members of the supervisory board, the regulator — the National Agency for Advanced Projects — and market participants for their cooperation and support. He expressed hope that the work accomplished would contribute to the development of Uzbekistan’s capital market.
Tashov thanked Georgiy Pareshishvili for their collaboration and noted that the exchange is on the threshold of significant changes. He pledged to make every effort to actively contribute to the development of the capital market.
