Earthquake Recorded in Kyrgyzstan; Mild Tremors Felt in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 22 September 2025, at 07:04:58 local time, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 occurred in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The epicenter was located in the Botken area (coordinates 40.09 N, 71.95 E) at a depth of 10 km.

In Kyrgyzstan, the seismic intensity reached 3 points on the local scale.

In Uzbekistan, the tremors were weaker: in the city of Kuvasay, the intensity reached 2 points at a distance of 23 km from the epicenter, and in the Fergana district, it was also 2 points at 31 km from the epicenter. The distance from the epicenter to the country’s capital, Tashkent, was 265 km to the southeast.
