Development of Uzbekistan’s capital market discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 27 August, a meeting took place between Georgiy Paresishvili, Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) and representatives of JSC UzAssets.

The meeting focused on key issues related to the development of the capital market in Uzbekistan and the importance of corporate governance for joint-stock companies preparing for IPOs.

During the discussions, the stages of preparing state-owned companies for IPOs were also addressed. This includes the importance of adhering to high international standards of corporate governance, transparency and financial reporting, clear dividend policies, and protecting the rights of minority shareholders. These elements are crucial for attracting both local and international investors and ensuring the successful execution of IPOs.

The parties reviewed strategic aspects of upcoming IPOs of state-owned companies and explored potential directions for further cooperation in this field.
