Consumer price index in Uzbekistan grows by 0.9% in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Consumer prices index increased by 0.9% in Uzbekistan in the first three months of 2009 against 0.8% in the same period of 2008, State Statistics Committee said.

The Committee said food products prices soared up by 1.2% and non-food products by 0.8% in the reporting period. Service prices grew by 0.8% in the first three months of 2009.

Industrial price index increased by 3.6% in January-March 2009.
