Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —

On 9 December, Central Elections Commission of Uzbekistan (CEC) announced the results of elections of the President of Uzbekistan, which were held on 4 December 2016.

According to the CEC, 17.951 million citizens from 20.461 million voters participated in the election, which makes up 87.73% of total number of voters.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a candidate from UzLiDeP, collected 15.906 million voters or 88.61% of people, participated in the voting.

Candidate from People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Hatamjan Ketmanov received 669,187 votes or 3.73% votes of people, who casted their votes.

About 619,972 people supported Nariman Umarov from Adolat Party, which makes up 3.46% of total ballots.

Sarvar Otamuratov from Milliy Tiklanish collected 2.35% votes. Some 421,055 people voted for Otamuratov.

The CEC of Uzbekistan issued resolution that Shavkat Mirziyoyev is elected president of Uzbekistan. He was elected for five years.
