AFD to finance the modernization of Charvak HPP

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- French Development Agency (AFD) will finance a project to develop an integrated management strategy for Charvak hydro power station.

The Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne noted that the AFD will direct 13 million euros to modernize the Charvak hydroelectric station.

Also, another 60 million euros will be invested in the modernization of a cascade of three power plants.

This project and the project “Development of hydropower in Andijan region” are key to the development of clean and renewable energy, he said.
