Abdumajid Shermukhamedov Named Andijan Police Chief

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Colonel Abdumajid Mavlyanovich Shermukhamedov was appointed head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Andijan Region, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. Prior to his new appointment, Shermukhamedov served as the head of the Internal Affairs Department of the Khorezm Region.

The new head was instructed to take measures to improve the crime situation in the region based on operational analysis. Priority tasks outlined for Shermukhamedov include curbing crime, strengthening safety in local neighborhoods, addressing public inquiries directly, and increasing citizen satisfaction.

Additionally, the regional internal affairs head is required to identify existing problems and ensure their systematic resolution. Instructions were also issued to the heads of city and district internal affairs departments in the Andijan Region to enhance the effectiveness of preventative and operational work across these areas.
