Uzbekneftegaz, SOCAR agree to develop fuel station network
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekneftegaz and Azerbaijan’s State Oil Company (SOCAR) have signed a cooperation agreement to develop a network of modern fuel stations in Uzbekistan.
The agreement was signed during the fourth Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. It sets out the main areas of cooperation between the parties in developing fuel infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Uzneftegaz and SOCAR intend to jointly study and assess opportunities to establish and develop a network of modern fuel stations in Uzbekistan. The parties also plan to identify prospective locations for the facilities and assess suitable sites.
In addition, the companies agreed to jointly develop optimal business models and practical mechanisms for implementing potential projects.
The cooperation is aimed at expanding interaction between Uzbekneftegaz and SOCAR and exploring new opportunities for developing Uzbekistan’s fuel infrastructure.
