Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 17 December, Alisher Agzamkhodjaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism, held an online meeting with Osman Mestin, Chairman of the Türkiye–Uzbekistan Interparliamentary Cooperation Group.
During the discussion, both sides noted that strategic cooperation between the two countries continues to actively develop, driven by the strong political will of their leaders and traditionally friendly relations based on mutual trust.
Special attention was given to the role of interparliamentary interaction in strengthening bilateral cooperation, including the exchange of experience in lawmaking, ratification of interstate agreements, and ensuring effective parliamentary oversight over the implementation of agreed-upon arrangements.
The parties emphasized the need to further activate contacts between parliamentary committees and interparliamentary groups, establish regular dialogue, and develop joint initiatives to deepen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
