Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s exports of non-monetary gold fell 66.3% year on year to US$2.8 billion in January-August 2026, compared with US$8.3 billion in the same period of 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

Gold accounted for 12.3% of Uzbekistan’s total exports during the reporting period, down from 35.2% a year earlier.

The decline follows opposite dynamics in the previous year. In January-August 2025, exports of non-monetary gold increased by 66.9% compared with the same period of 2024.

Uzbekistan’s total exports amounted to US$22.9 billion in the first eight months of 2026, down 3.4% year on year.

At the same time, exports excluding gold increased by 28.7% to US$11.5 billion.
