Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The national team of Uzbekistan won two silver medals on the first day of the U23 Asian Athletics Championships, which is currently taking place in the Chinese city of Ordos.
Ayubkhon Fayozov secured the first medal for the national team by finishing in second place in the hammer throw competition. The athlete recorded a mark of 71.16 meters.
Ibrokhim Makhkamov won the second silver medal for the Uzbek team. In the triple jump event, he achieved a result of 16.34 meters to finish on the second step of the podium.
