Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Military personnel from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Pakistan took part in the Eternal Brotherhood-V international special tactical exercises in Uzbekistan. The exercises lasted about 10 days and included theoretical and practical training.
The exercises opened with a formal ceremony at the Institute of Land Forces.
During the training, the servicemen practiced coordination during special operations, exchanged experience and improved their tactical skills in conditions close to modern combat environments.
The programme included training in firearms, mountain operations, special tactics, engineering tactics and medical skills. Particular attention was paid to the practical use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and countering them.
During practical exercises involving UAVs, the servicemen identified the area where a simulated enemy was located and conducted reconnaissance. A special operation was then carried out in an urban environment to detain and neutralize simulated illegal armed groups.
The participants also conducted airborne landings in designated areas, practiced destroying UAVs and carried out strikes against designated targets.
Third-degree Sergeant Abror Khudoykulov said the exercises included training in countering UAVs and clearing buildings in small groups. According to him, the drills helped improve coordination and the ability to carry out joint tasks under various conditions.
Azerbaijani representative Warrant Officer Ravshan Amirli said military personnel from different countries were united by common objectives during the exercises and studied modern methods of warfare.
Lieutenant Colonel of the Turkish Armed Forces Çetin Toraman noted the opportunity to conduct theoretical and practical training and exchange experience.
After the exercises, the stages and activities carried out were analyzed, and the participants exchanged views. Military personnel who took an active part in the exercises were presented with awards.
