Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Russia discussed improving mechanisms for the organized deployment of Uzbek citizens to work in Russia and conducting the necessary procedures before departure, the Migration Agency said.
Migration Agency Director Muhsinkhodja Abdurakhmonov held a meeting with Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Alexey Yerkhov.
During the talks, the sides proposed establishing a comprehensive center based on the “all procedures in one place” principle.
The center is expected to provide pre-departure testing, medical examinations, biometric registration and fingerprinting, as well as document checks.
Particular attention was given to organizing Russian-language examinations directly in the regions. This approach would reduce the time and costs for citizens associated with having to travel to Tashkent. The necessary infrastructure for conducting the examinations has already been prepared in four regions.
Under the proposed mechanism, citizens planning to work in Russia would know their place of employment, the company and working conditions before leaving Uzbekistan.
They would also be able to prepare the necessary documents and complete the required procedures in advance.
Organized deployment is expected to be carried out based on applications from specific employers, allowing citizens to travel for work through a legal and transparent process.
