Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A total of 34,659 property and vehicle purchase and sale transactions were conducted through escrow accounts in Uzbekistan in September. This represented a 3.8% increase compared with August.
Real estate transactions accounted for the main contribution to the growth. A total of 16,711 property transactions were registered in September, up by 1,126, or 7.2%, from the August figure.
The number of vehicle purchase and sale transactions reached 17,948 in September. Vehicle transactions therefore accounted for more than half of all transactions across the two categories.
Tashkent recorded the highest number of transactions, at 10,711, accounting for 30.9% of the national total.
Among the regions, Fergana Region ranked next after the capital, with 3,363 transactions. Samarkand Region registered 3,131 transactions, while Namangan Region recorded 2,404.
The remaining regions of Uzbekistan collectively accounted for 69.1% of all transactions conducted through escrow accounts in September.
As of 30 September, another 4,354 transactions were still being processed.
Overall, the number of completed property and vehicle transactions using escrow accounts continued to increase in September compared with the previous month.
