Uzbekistan Intends to Increase Exports of Construction Materials to Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A meeting was held in Kazan between Acting Chairman of the Board of the Association “Uzpromstroy Materialy” Ilyos Rakhimov, Russia’s Minister of Construction and Housing Irek Fayzullin, and Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of construction materials between Uzbekistan and Russia, strengthening trade relations, export and import indicators, as well as the implementation of major investment projects. Special attention was given to increasing supplies of Uzbek products to the Republic of Tatarstan.

During the meeting, a presentation of Uzbekistan’s construction industry was delivered, along with information about trade houses, showrooms, and warehouses abroad.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to open new and expand existing outlets for Uzbek products under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand in Tatarstan.
