Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s imports of oil and petroleum products amounted to US$1.165 billion in January–September 2026.
This was 1.8% more than in the same period last year, when the figure stood at US$1.145 billion, according to the Uzbekistan Customs Committee.
Gasoline accounted for the largest share of imports. Its import value increased by 16.7%, from US$389.2 million to US$454.0 million. In volume terms, imports rose by 10.9%, from 665.5 million to 737.8 million litres.
Imports of diesel fuel, by contrast, declined. Their value fell by 27.7%, from US$261.5 million to US$189.1 million, while the volume decreased by 34.9%, from 330,300 to 215,200 tonnes.
Imports of lubricants, including motor, transmission and other oils, increased by 6.6%, from US$148.4 million to US$158.1 million. Their volume rose by 8.1%, from 85,000 to 91,900 tonnes.
The most notable growth was recorded in imports of liquefied gas (propane). Their value increased 3.1-fold, from US$48.7 million to US$152.2 million, while the volume rose 2.1-fold, from 120,200 to 249,000 tonnes.
Imports of other light distillates declined by 30.0%, from US$114.5 million to US$80.1 million. In volume terms, the decrease was 34.7%, from 198,000 to 129,300 tonnes.
Kerosene imports increased by 27.7%, from US$57.0 million to US$72.8 million, while the volume rose by 2.9%, from 58,500 to 60,200 tonnes.
Imports of other types of liquid fuel increased by 79.3%, from US$29.8 million to US$53.4 million. In volume terms, they nearly doubled, rising from 47,100 to 93,700 tonnes.
The sharpest decline was recorded in fuel oil imports. Their value fell by 94.3%, from US$95.6 million to US$5.5 million, while the volume decreased by 92.1%, from 239,700 to 19,000 tonnes.
