Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov took part in the Eurochambres Congress 2026, held on 28–29 September in Valencia, Spain.

The event brought together around 200 representatives of 91 chambers of commerce and organisations from 38 countries. Participants discussed the competitiveness of the single market, economic resilience, innovation, digitalisation, energy and the development of the business environment.

Eurochambres brings together more than 20 million companies and 1,700 regional and local chambers of commerce through its network. More than 93% of the companies represented in the network are small and medium-sized businesses.

During the congress, Davron Vakhabov held bilateral meetings with representatives of chambers of commerce and industry from European countries.

The parties discussed expanding trade and investment ties, implementing joint projects, increasing export opportunities and developing cooperation in logistics.

The programme also included a visit to the Marina de Empresas innovation hub in Valencia. The visit was attended by heads of chambers of commerce and industry and representatives of foreign delegations, including the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

Marina de Empresas brings together several areas of support for entrepreneurship, from entrepreneur training and startup development to acceleration and investment attraction. Its ecosystem includes the EDEM business school, the Lanzadera business incubator and accelerator, and the Angels investment fund.

Participants reviewed mechanisms for training young entrepreneurs, selecting and developing innovative projects, accelerating them and providing financial support.

Since its launch, the Lanzadera accelerator has supported more than 1,100 companies, whose projects have attracted more than €200 million in investment.

Startups at Marina de Empresas develop technological solutions for practical business needs in industry, logistics, retail and the agro-industrial sector.

During the visit, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan met with the management of Marina de Empresas. The parties discussed opportunities to apply the Valencia ecosystem’s experience in Uzbekistan.

In particular, they discussed accelerating youth startups, developing IT and creative industries, as well as integrating residents of Uzbek technology parks and clusters into international acceleration programmes.

Participation in Eurochambres Congress 2026 and the visit to Marina de Empresas enabled the Uzbek side to discuss new areas of cooperation with European chambers of commerce and industry and representatives of Valencia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
