Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Mining and Geology met with European Union Ambassador Toivo Klaar and the management of WMC Group to discuss cooperation in mining and geology and prospects for new projects.
The meeting was held on 28 September with the participation of U. Yusupov, Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology, and responsible ministry officials.
One of the topics discussed was the priority areas of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union in the mining and geological sectors.
The participants also reviewed Dutch initiatives aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation with Uzbekistan in mining and mineral resources.
Representatives of WMC Group presented information on the company’s activities in Uzbekistan, its current operations and projects being implemented in the country.
The meeting also covered prospects for further cooperation, opportunities to launch new projects and other issues of mutual interest.
