Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia Advance Digital Healthcare

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A Saudi Arabian delegation led by Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel learned about Uzbekistan’s experience in healthcare digitalization. During a visit to the Uzinfocom Single Integrator, the parties also launched the International Multidisciplinary Virtual Cardiology Commission.

The commission was created on the initiative of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan with the participation of the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, SEHA Virtual Hospital, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, Uzinfocom, and the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology.

The new initiative aims to develop medical cooperation between the two countries and enable remote discussion of complex clinical cases involving Uzbek and international specialists. This is expected to expand access to highly qualified medical care for patients.

The commission held its first meeting as part of the event. Experts reviewed complex cases related to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases using digital technologies.

The Saudi delegation was also shown work on digitalizing Uzbekistan’s healthcare system, as well as the implementation of modern information technologies and artificial intelligence solutions.

The parties expressed readiness to continue implementing digital health initiatives and strengthen cooperation in this area.
