Uzbekistan and Japan Discuss Expansion of Strategic Partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 4 December 2025, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister B. Usmanov met with Japan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Kenji Hirata.

The parties discussed pressing issues in Uzbek-Japanese cooperation and agreed on the schedule for upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.

Ambassador Hirata emphasized Japan’s readiness to support the strengthening of strategic partnership and to expand cooperation in trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, education, and culture.
