Uzbekistan and Germany agree on legal employment pathways in Europe
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Germany, operating through the official representative office of UZ Trade House Germany (UZTH), has concluded a strategic partnership agreement with the international recruitment firm Hanseatic Connect, which is headquartered in Hamburg.
This document lays the foundation for a systematic framework focused on the preparation, retraining, and subsequent formal employment of qualified Uzbek specialists within the European labor market, a move expected to significantly strengthen bilateral economic ties.
The Hamburg-based agency Hanseatic Connect is part of the structure of the major German industrial and maritime conglomerate Schulte Group, which possesses a 140-year history and operates in over 30 countries with a total workforce exceeding 45,000 employees. The agency specializes in comprehensive international recruitment, professional training, and the integration of foreign personnel.
Under the approved interaction model, the Uzbek side, represented by UZTH, will assume responsibility for sourcing and pre-selecting prospective candidates through its internal domestic partner network.
In turn, the German partners will provide complete vocational preparation, intensive language training, visa support, the official recognition of diplomas (nostrification) by regulatory bodies in the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as the subsequent social and labor adaptation of Uzbek citizens upon their arrival in Germany.
During the initial phase of the joint project's implementation, priority attention will be directed toward sectors facing the most acute labor shortages in European countries. These include the medical care sphere (Pflege), alongside the hospitality industry, encompassing hotel and restaurant operations.
According to expert assessments, the launch of this initiative will not only open guaranteed channels for legal employment for job seekers from Uzbekistan but will also provide a strong economic impulse to the development of the domestic services market by involving local training centers, language schools, and recruitment agencies in the international human resources value chain.
