Uzbekistan and Finland Expand Cooperation on Digital Transport Logistics

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Finland have discussed expanding cooperation in digital transport, logistics, and transport data management.

The talks took place between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and Kimmo Ylisyurunen, head of the transport information services cluster at Finland’s national company Fintraffic.

During the meeting, the sides discussed transport management, digital mobility development, logistics systems, and transport data ecosystems. The two countries also exchanged experience in organizing road, rail, air, and maritime transport through unified digital infrastructure.

Special attention was given to prospects for real-time transport data processing and monitoring, the introduction of intelligent logistics solutions, and the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the transport sector.

The sides also considered the development of digital logistics corridors between Central Asia and Europe, as well as cooperation in open API services, transport data platforms, and GovTech solutions.

At the end of the talks, Uzbekistan and Finland expressed mutual interest in further exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects in digital transport infrastructure, smart mobility, and logistics.
