Uzbekistan and China's CAMCE sign memorandum on inclusive infrastructure at TIIF-2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chinese engineering corporation CAMCE (China CAMC Engineering) will build a modern, high-tech rehabilitation center for people with disabilities in Uzbekistan.
The official Memorandum of Understanding, launching the practical phase of this socially oriented project, was signed within the framework of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF-2026) following a bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the Board of CAMCE, Wang Bo.
The new rehabilitation complex will be aimed at fundamentally increasing the quality of medical and restorative services provided in the republic. In addition to creating the center itself, the project involves constructing the accompanying infrastructure for adaptive sports development.
This initiative is designed to expand the inclusive environment within the national social protection framework and ensure the integration of citizens with special needs into active public life. During the negotiations, the parties agreed on coordination mechanisms to transition into the practical phase of construction as quickly as possible.
The signing of the agreement became one of the key outcomes of the Tashkent Investment Forum and the regular meeting of the Foreign Investors Council held under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The head of state emphasized that the Council has successfully transformed into an effective platform for the practical implementation of reforms, while the growth in its membership from 54 to 85 participants confirms the high level of confidence global business maintains in Uzbekistan. The creation of the new center with the attraction of Chinese investment clearly demonstrates the republic's commitment to the principles of an open economy and the accelerated development of human capital.
