Uzbek Masters Showcase Works at Homo Faber 2026 in Venice

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Works by masters from Uzbekistan are being showcased at Homo Faber 2026: An Island of Light, an international exhibition dedicated to contemporary artistic craftsmanship in Venice. The exhibition brings together participants from 70 countries and features more than 700 works, the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation said.

The Uzbek section features ceramic Moonjars works by Sanjar Kubaev and Alisher Nazirov, as well as artistic scissors by Shavkiddin Kamolov.

Uzbekistan is also represented in the exhibition’s educational programme. Dierbek Abdullaev and Sabina Dzhuraeva are participating in Homo Faber 2026 as mediators in the Young Ambassadors programme.

The participation of Uzbek masters continues cooperation between the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and the Michelangelo Foundation. The partnership between the organisations began in 2023 with the launch of the Uzbek section of the Homo Faber Guide in Bukhara.

As part of Uzbekistan’s programme at the exhibition, Madina Kasymbaeva will also hold workshops dedicated to traditional suzani embroidery.

This year, Homo Faber brings together more than 500 masters from 70 countries and showcases more than 700 works of contemporary artistic craftsmanship.
