Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The United States has imposed sanctions on a company from Uzbekistan, the US Department of State said in a statement.
Today, US authorities sanctioned nearly 400 legal entities and individuals for assisting Russia in its war against Ukraine.
The State Department imposed sanctions on over 120 individuals and legal entities, while the Department of the Treasury sanctioned more than 270 entities.
Included in the US sanctions list is THE ELITE INVESTMENT GROUP from Uzbekistan. According to information provided by the US, the Uzbek company supplied dual-use goods to LLC GTS GRUPP, a Russia-based company that is under US sanctions.
LLC GTS GRUPP is a manufacturer and supplier of industrial equipment, automatic control systems, and electrical devices.
US authorities note that THE ELITE INVESTMENT GROUP supplied dual-use goods worth approximately US$190,000, including electrical transformers, to Russian companies between March and May 2024, using GUCLU GLOBAL as a freight agent.
