Two Detained in Tashkent for Illegal Crypto Trading

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Two men have been detained in Tashkent on suspicion of violating legislation governing the circulation of crypto assets, according to the press service of the Tashkent Main Department of Internal Affairs.

In the first case, authorities detained a 24-year-old man who engaged in the illegal circulation of crypto assets worth 2,750,000 USDT.

In the second case, a 27-year-old man conducted multiple purchase and sale transactions involving crypto assets totaling 5,078,166.14 USDT.

Together, the transactions across the two cases totaled 7,828,166.14 USDT.

Criminal cases have been opened in both instances under Article 278-8 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, which establishes liability for violating legislation governing the circulation of crypto assets.
