Tourism Committee, Skydiving Federation Discuss Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chairman of Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee Abdulaziz Akkulov met with Alexey Borshuk, chairman of the Skydiving Federation of Uzbekistan, to discuss the development of adventure and extreme tourism and the creation of new tourism products. This was reported by the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.
The participants discussed ways to make more effective use of the country's potential for developing this segment of tourism. They noted that skydiving activities are currently organized at the Syrdarya Markaziy site in Syrdarya district.
The two sides said favorable climatic conditions, a long flying season and existing infrastructure create opportunities to develop Uzbekistan as one of the promising destinations for extreme tourism.
Particular attention was given to promoting skydiving tourism services among domestic and international tourists, as well as increasing the tourism appeal of the country's regions by hosting international skydiving competitions and festivals.
Following the meeting, the Skydiving Federation agreed to prepare proposals for improving the regulatory framework and implementing initiatives aimed at further developing extreme tourism in Uzbekistan.
