Total capital of Uzbekistan banking system reaches 145.5 trillion soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The aggregate capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan reached 145.5 trillion soums as of 1 June 2026, according to the Central Bank.
Banks with state ownership account for 85.4 trillion soums, representing 58.7 percent of the total capital in the banking sector. The capital of the remaining commercial banks stands at 60.1 trillion soums, or 41.3 percent.
The National Bank of Uzbekistan holds the largest volume of capital in the country, totaling 20.8 trillion soums, which equates to 14.3 percent of the aggregate national figure. This is followed by Agrobank with 13.8 trillion soums (9.5 percent), Uzpromstroybank with 12.8 trillion soums (8.8 percent), Xalq Bank (People's Bank) with 11.1 trillion soums (7.7 percent), and Asaka Bank with 9.5 trillion soums (6.5 percent).
Conversely, the lowest volume of capital among the country's financial institutions was recorded at Open Bank, standing at 514.5 billion soums. Similar low-range figures were reported by Madad Invest Bank with 530.2 billion soums, AVO Bank with 546.3 billion soums, Saderat Bank with 555.4 billion soums, and Garant Bank with 572.1 billion soums.
