Tax Committee Proposes Expanded Data Sharing With Banks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Tax Committee has submitted a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers for public discussion, outlining a procedure for banks to transfer information regarding the accounts, deposits, and specific financial transactions of individuals and legal entities to tax authorities.
According to the draft document, it is proposed that banks electronically notify tax authorities about the opening of accounts for individuals and legal entities, as well as provide information upon requests sent within the framework of tax control.
The project also provides for the transfer of information regarding receipts on the bank cards of individuals in cases where the total volume of transfers from other individuals and electronic wallets, excluding close relatives, reaches or exceeds 500 times the base calculated value within a calendar month. This threshold currently amounts to 206 million soums, and it will reach 220 million soums after the increase of the base calculated value starting 1 September 2026.
In addition, it is proposed to provide tax authorities with information about funds transferred by individuals to foreign legal entities. The draft notes that such information must be transmitted without specifying personal data.
If the resolution is adopted, the Tax Committee and the Central Bank will be required to approve technological instructions for creating a "Bank-tax" module within two months. Over the following four months, it is planned to ensure the integration of the information systems of banks and tax authorities.
The public discussion of the document will last until 8 July 2026. Until the discussion is completed, all provisions of the project remain proposals and may be amended based on the results of the review of received comments and suggestions. At the time of the project's publication in the public discussion system, 17 comments had been left, all of which were critical in nature.
