Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC) and Busan Finance Center have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at developing institutional cooperation between the two financial centers. This was reported by the Tashkent International Financial Centre.

The ceremony to exchange signed copies of the document took place in Busan on 16 September as part of the annual meeting of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC). Alexey Sim, Adviser to Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, attended the event.

The memorandum provides for cooperation in sustainable and digital finance, the exchange of best practices in the development and management of international financial centers, and the implementation of joint research and educational programmes.

The sides also plan to expand cooperation in attracting financial institutions, international companies and professional services providers to Tashkent and Busan.

The document became the TIFC’s first bilateral partnership agreement after its admission as a full member of WAIFC.
