Saida Mirziyoyeva Conducts Meeting and Inspects Social Facilities in Andijan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, conducted a working meeting in Andijan with the regional leadership and district khokims.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail issues requiring coordinated and aligned interaction at the republican, regional, district, and makhalla levels. A particular emphasis was placed on the necessity of significantly accelerating the management decision-making process, as well as establishing strict, specific deadlines and tasks for their prompt implementation.
One of the main topics on the agenda was the critical state of the region's communal infrastructure—specifically, the need for a large-scale modernization of the main water supply pipeline built back in the 1980s. This facility holds strategic importance, as the uninterrupted water supply for a vast number of local residents, makhallas, and social organizations directly depends on its functioning; however, due to prolonged operation, it has long required a complete reconstruction. Furthermore, within the framework of the working trip to the region, a personal inspection was carried out across a number of key social infrastructure objects in need of urgent renewal and priority attention from the authorities.
During her visit to the Oltinkol district, Saida Mirziyoyeva visited the "Kumakay" family polyclinic. It was established that the medical institution's building, in use since 1988, has completely ceased to meet modern medical standards and sanitary requirements. A similarly critical situation was recorded in the district's educational sphere. For instance, local kindergarten No. 9 still functions on the site of a former recreation camp erected back in the 1970s, while the building of secondary school No. 36 proved to be even older—it was constructed in 1960 and is currently physically incapable of accommodating all the students enrolled.
Following the detailed inspection of these problematic locations, a fundamental decision was made that both specified educational facilities—the school and the kindergarten—will be completely rebuilt from scratch.
The Head of the Presidential Administration emphasized that the working conditions of medical personnel and the quality of children's education directly influence the social well-being and peace of mind of parents. In connection with this, it was noted that positive changes in the daily lives of citizens should not drag on for decades, and a visible, tangible, and clear result is needed by the population in the shortest possible time.
