PROMOMED opens legal entity in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Biopharmaceutical company PROMOMED has established its own legal entity in Tashkent, ООО “PROMOMED-PHARMA”.
Through its local presence, the company plans to expand cooperation with doctors, the pharmaceutical community and business partners, as well as establish sustainable supply channels for medicines to Uzbekistan.
According to PROMOMED Executive Director Eduard Kasyan, the new entity will employ local specialists. The company expects this to create high-value-added jobs and provide local employees with professional skills and knowledge at international standards.
PROMOMED-PHARMA representatives will handle registration procedures and cooperation with Uzbekistan’s regulatory authorities. The company expects this to help accelerate the introduction of modern medicines to the local market, particularly in the areas of metabolic disorders, endocrinology and oncology.
PROMOMED is also working to establish its own pharmacovigilance service in Uzbekistan. In addition, the company is preparing information-support programs for doctors and pharmacists. These will include educational programs, scientific events and engagement with the professional community.
PROMOMED said establishing a local legal entity should enable more direct interaction with participants in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical market and ensure a sustainable presence for the company’s products in the country.
PROMOMED was founded in 2005 and marked its 20th anniversary in 2025. Ordinary shares of PJSC Promomed are traded on the Moscow Exchange under the PRMD ticker.
The company’s structure includes its own R&D center and the Biokhimik high-tech pharmaceutical plant. PROMOMED has a portfolio of more than 360 medicines across 10 major segments of the pharmaceutical market.
