President of Uzbekistan leaves for Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev went on a working visit to Astana (Kazakhstan).

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will take part in the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

The summit will be devoted to discussing various aspects of cooperation between the Turkic states, including issues of trade and economic relations, investments, transport and communication projects, ecology, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and other areas.

Uzbekistan is chairing the Organization of Turkic States this year, and this event will be an important step to strengthen relations within the organization and further cooperation among the Turkic nations.
