Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Acting Chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat Association Farhod Nurmukhamedov met with a delegation led by the head of the Leading Edge Alliance of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Uzbekistan Najib Mushtaq Vohra.
This dialogue was organized at the initiative and practical support of Uzbekistan’s embassy in Pakistan. The issue of export of leather goods to Pakistan by Uzbek leather enterprises was discussed at the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Pakistani side was presented with information about the achievements, production, investment and export indicators of the leather industry of our country in recent years.
The head of the Leading Edge Alliance company, in turn, highly appreciated the achievements in the leather industry of Uzbekistan and emphasized that a number of Pakistani companies are ready for active cooperation. Initiatives were taken to purchase leather.
The Uzbek side provided foreign partners with information about manufacturers - potential partners in the given direction. In this context, an exchange of views took place on production processes, quality indicators and standards implemented at enterprises in our country. The samples will be sent to the Pakistani side in the near future.
Once laboratory tests are completed, firm export contracts are expected to be signed.
