Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- As part of the “ICAN 2023” event, the aviation administrations of Uzbekistan and Canada agreed to provide the first and second degrees of “freedom of air” for airlines of both sides. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
An agreement was also signed to begin the process of developing and signing in the prescribed manner a draft agreement on air services, including the third and fourth degrees of “freedom of air” with the granting of the right to regular air transportation between the two countries.
From 2025, the resident airline of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airways, plans to launch regular flights to Canada. The agreement reached with Canada will serve as the foundation for Uzbekistan Airways to carry out flights to Canada.
In addition, it will contribute to the interconnectedness of another country on the American continent with Uzbekistan in broadly promoting the tourism potential of our country and attracting foreign tourists.
