Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The second meeting of the heads of defense industry bodies from member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Baku as part of the ADEX 2026 international defense industry exhibition.

The meeting was attended by Akmal Jumanazarov, Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee of Uzbekistan; Azerbaijan’s Defense Industry Minister Vugar Mustafayev; heads of relevant bodies from OTS member states; and OTS Secretary-General Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

Participants discussed key areas of cooperation in the defense industry, including personnel training and the development of engineering capabilities, institutional cooperation, joint production and industrial cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to research and development activities and the introduction of new technologies in the defense industry.

Following the meeting, the sides adopted a Roadmap for Cooperation in the Defense Industry among the member states of the Organization of Turkic States.
