Nearly 2 tonnes of drugs incinerated in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A total of 1,711 kg of drugs have been incinerated in a plant furnace in the suburbs of Tashkent, the Uzbek National Security Service (NSS) said.

The drugs were seized by the law-enforcement agencies during anti-drug operations, a press release says.

Of the total amount of the incinerated drugs, 501.2 kg is heroin, 1,104 kg is opium and the rest are other types of drugs, including psychotropic pills.
