Mirziyoyev welcomes Aliyev at Kuksaroy residence in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a ceremonial welcome for Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the Kuksaroy residence in Tashkent, where the two leaders subsequently began high-level talks, the Uzbek presidential press service said.

An honor guard was lined up in Aliyev’s honor on the square in front of the residence, which was decorated with the national flags of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Mirziyoyev warmly welcomed Aliyev and invited him to the podium. The national anthems of the two countries were then played.

The two presidents inspected the honor guard and introduced members of their official delegations to each other.

Mirziyoyev and Aliyev then took part in a joint photo session before beginning high-level talks.
