Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Lukoil founder Vagit Alekperov on 6 October.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed the Russian company’s current activities in Uzbekistan’s energy sector and prospects for further cooperation.
Alekperov briefed the head of state on the implementation of Lukoil’s projects in the country. In particular, the discussion focused on geological exploration and the development of promising hydrocarbon deposits.
Particular attention was paid to the development of the company’s retail network for petroleum products.
The sides also discussed plans to further expand Lukoil’s activities in Uzbekistan.
