Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Cooperation between Karakalpakstan and Germany in energy efficiency and the implementation of new projects was discussed in Nukus as part of the FELICITY II project, which aims to improve the energy efficiency of apartment buildings.

The meeting was attended by Amanbay Orynbayev, chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Deputy Minister Ozoda Zhuraeva and representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The participants reviewed the current state of mutually beneficial cooperation and prospects for its further development.

Modernization of apartment buildings

The implementation of the FELICITY II project in Karakalpakstan was among the main topics discussed. The participants considered the modernization of apartment buildings, the introduction of energy-saving technologies and the creation of more comfortable and modern living conditions for residents.

The sides positively assessed the practical experience and results accumulated through the project, noting the need to further develop cooperation in energy efficiency.

Preparation of new projects

The meeting also addressed the possibility of jointly developing and implementing new projects with the German side in other promising areas.

Such initiatives are expected to contribute to the socio-economic development of Karakalpakstan.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to continue existing projects, improve their implementation and support new initiatives as part of further cooperation.
