Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — IT Park Uzbekistan and the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) discussed further areas of cooperation and the development of Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem.
The meeting between Farrukh Erkinov, Director of Startup Ecosystem Development at IT Park Uzbekistan, and ASOCIO Chairman Stan Singh-Jit was held as part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026.
One of the key topics was the ASOCIO Digital & AI Awards 2026, with the ceremony scheduled for October. During the Startup & Venture Summit held as part of ICT WEEK, 10 Uzbek projects and companies were announced as winners of the awards.
The participants discussed arrangements for representatives of these projects to take part in the upcoming event. Singh-Jit also congratulated IT Park Uzbekistan on joining ASOCIO.
The sides reviewed priority areas for developing Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem and opportunities to expand cooperation between the organizations. The ASOCIO chairman noted the government’s focus on developing digital technologies and its support for the technology sector.
As the next stage of cooperation, the sides discussed organizing joint events in Uzbekistan as well as in countries across Asia and Oceania.
ASOCIO brings together 25 associations from Asian and Oceanian countries, representing more than 29,000 ICT companies. Collectively, the economies of the organization’s member countries account for about 45% of global GDP.
During ICT WEEK, Singh-Jit also familiarized himself with Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem. He met with representatives of OX SYSTEM, after which the sides agreed to continue negotiations, and also visited the Advanced Technology Center.
