Industrial Cooperation Agency Partners With KPMG Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan has concluded a strategic partnership agreement with the representative office of one of the leading international consulting companies, KPMG Uzbekistan.
Following an official meeting held at the agency, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The practical interaction is aimed at modernizing the national public procurement system, bringing it into line with advanced global standards, and comprehensively strengthening the institutional capacity of the public sector.
The joint activities of the parties will be structured around the implementation of priority tasks approved by Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev No. PF-17 and No. PF-259. Within the framework of the signed agreement, KPMG experts and agency specialists will focus on several key areas.
One of the main priorities will be a radical upgrading of the qualifications of profile personnel engaged in the public procurement sphere, which includes the integration of the CIPS international professional certification system. In addition, there are plans to implement modern project approaches based on PMO principles.
A separate section of the memorandum establishes measures to enhance transparency, integrity, and accountability in the distribution of state funds. Specialists intend to develop and implement effective compliance control mechanisms, forensic financial examination methods, and advanced risk management.
In the near future, the parties will form a detailed list of joint projects for 2026 and work out step-by-step algorithms for interaction.
