Implementation of "Friendship Orchards" Project Begins in Afghanistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The practical implementation of the "Friendship Orchards" project, aimed at developing agricultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, has commenced in Afghanistan's Faryab Province.

The project is being executed by LLC "Agrosanoat Innovatorlari" under the Agency for Development of Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.

The initiative is taking place within the framework of a visit by an Uzbek government delegation to Afghanistan, led by Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev.

Its objective is to foster agricultural collaboration, introduce modern horticultural technologies, and broaden practical interaction between the two nations.

On July 28, in the Khan Charbagh district of Faryab Province, officials designated the official address and installed the project sign for the "Friendship Orchard," which will span an area of 60 hectares. On the same day, a foundation stone laying ceremony was held, marking the transition of the project to its active phase.

The initiative provides for the exchange of agricultural expertise and the adoption of modern agro-technologies, aiming to elevate practical Uzbek-Afghan agricultural cooperation to a new level.
